About me

Why memoirs?

For most of my adolescence and adulthood, I thought my life was boring. I thought, “The only thing I’ve done is go to high school and have a kid 2 years later.” It didn’t hit me till I nonchalantly told a story about my past to a friend, and to my surprise, they were shocked. It made me look back at my life up until then and see things through everyone else’s eyes. To me, I didn’t have any story that was worth telling, but to them, my life was kind of nuts. That’s where my journey of memoir writing began. There’s more to the story, of course, but that’s for another day.
