Character Sketches

What’s a character sketch?

It makes sense to think it’s a literal sketch of a character; in artist’s terms, it is. But in the writer’s terms, a character sketch is essentially a snapshot of a character.

In a character sketch, while you can focus on their appearance, you want to add small details that don’t necessarily give away a plot but rather gives soul to a character. It’s a fun way to think about your characters before getting them into any mischief.

Why don’t you read some examples and join in the fun!
